How the calculator works
Missed appointments cost the clinic the fee it would have earned, because the slot stays empty. The calculator multiplies four numbers you control: patients booked per day, the share who do not turn up, your average fee and your working days.
Monthly loss = patients per day × working days × no-show rate × average fee.
It is a simple estimate. It assumes every no-show leaves an empty slot and that you would have earned your average fee. If you can fill most cancelled slots from a waitlist, your real loss is smaller. If a missed visit also means a missed follow-up, it is larger.
